Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

We want you to feel confident shopping with us. If something isn’t the right fit, we’re here to help. The following policy outlines how returns, exchanges, and refunds work at The Uniform Store.

30-Day Return Window

We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of the original purchase or shipment date.

Eligible reasons for return include:

  • Incorrect size or fit
  • Receiving an incorrect or defective item

Return Requirements

To qualify for a return or exchange, items must be:

  • Unworn and unwashed
  • Free of hair, deodorant marks, stains, or damage
  • In clean condition
  • In original packaging with all tags attached
  • Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase for in-store purchases

Items that do not meet these criteria will be rejected and returned to you.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Embroidered, personalized, or customized items
  • Discontinued or end-of-line items
  • Final sale, last-chance, or limited-edition items
  • Gift cards or gift certificates
  • Georgian College uniform packages
  • Items outside the 30-day window

Exchanges

We offer exchanges for size, style or colour, including free return shipping in Canada. If you’d like to swap your item for something that fits better, we’re happy to help.

Refunds & Partial Returns

Free Shipping Threshold Adjustment

Orders over $100 qualify for free shipping within Canada.

If part of an order is cancelled or returned, and the value of the items you keep falls below $100, the standard $15 shipping fee will be applied or deducted from your refund.

This applies to:

  • Cancellations before the order ships
  • Partial returns after delivery

This ensures consistent and fair application of our free-shipping policy.

Refund Method

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Shipping charges (if applicable) are not refundable.

How to Start a Return or Exchange

Use our self-serve returns portal:

You will receive:

  • A prepaid return label for exchanges (free)
  • A prepaid return label for refunds (the shipping adjustment applies only if your kept items fall below $100)

Items sent back without an authorized return request will not be accepted.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon receiving it. If an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us immediately at sales@theuniformstore.ca so we can make it right.

Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • We will notify you of approval or rejection
  • Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days

If more than 15 business days pass after approval, please contact us at sales@theuniformstore.ca.
