Why We’re No Longer Shipping to the US

Why We’re No Longer Shipping to the US

We’ve truly valued our US customers, and it was not an easy decision to stop shipping across the border. Unfortunately, recent changes to the US de minimis rules have made it unsustainable for us to continue.

In the past, small orders could cross the border duty-free, or any applicable duties were paid by the recipient upon delivery. Under the new rules, however, the shipper (that’s us) is now required to prepay duties and taxes on the customer’s behalf.

This creates two big challenges:

  • Unpredictable costs - tariff rates are now highly volatile and can literally change overnight leading to fees that can vary widely from one shipment to the next.
  • Higher prices for customers - because we must cover duties upfront, we’d need to build those costs into our prices. This becomes difficult and extremely time consuming when manufacturers produce the same article in different countries. One may be from Vietnam, while the other is from India. This makes it very difficult to be transparent and competitive with our pricing

With the current level of volatility, we can no longer guarantee transparent pricing or reliable service for our US customers. For now, that means we have to pause shipping to the US. If regulations or processes change, we’ll be eager to revisit this.

Thank you for your understanding.
